There is something you need to know

You Are Loved

more than you know.

These are more than comforting words. They are a truth found throughout the Bible and demonstrated through what Jesus Christ did for you.

God Has Not Forgotten You

Maybe the words “you are loved” are difficult for you to believe. Perhaps you have felt overlooked, forgotten, or as though your past has made you unworthy of love. But God’s love is not based upon how others have treated you, how well your life has gone, or whether you believe you deserve it.

You are loved by the God who created you. He knows everything about you—every joy, every hurt, every failure, and every hidden part of your heart—and He desires for you to know Him.

The greatest proof of His love is not found in an easier life or the absence of sorrow. It is found in what He did to rescue you from sin and give you eternal life through Jesus Christ.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

God did not wait for us to become good enough to be loved. While we were still sinners, Jesus Christ willingly took our place and died for us. His love does not hide the truth about our sin; it provides the Saviour we desperately need.

To understand just how deeply God loves us, we must first understand why we need a Saviour.

How Can You Be Saved?

The Bible gives a clear answer. Salvation begins with recognizing our sin and ends with placing our faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Realize You Are a Sinner

God is holy, and every one of us has broken His law. Our sins may not all look the same, but none of us can truthfully say that we have met God’s perfect standard. We must first be honest with God and recognize our sinful condition.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23

Understand Sin’s Penalty

Sin separates us from God, and its rightful penalty is death. We cannot erase our guilt through good works, religion, generosity, baptism, or trying to become a better person. We cannot save ourselves.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

Believe Christ Paid the Price

God did not leave us without hope. Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, took our place upon the cross. He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again, fully paying the debt we could never pay.

“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:” 1 Peter 3:18

Receive Salvation by Faith

Salvation is God’s gift. It cannot be earned or deserved. It is received when you turn to Jesus Christ and trust Him alone to forgive your sin and save you.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8–9

Call Upon the Lord

Salvation is not found in repeating special words or performing a religious ceremony. It is a matter of placing your faith in Jesus Christ. Come to Him honestly, admitting your sin and trusting completely in His death, burial, and resurrection as the only payment for your salvation.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
