Ministries With a Purpose
Every ministry at Cornerstone exists to share the Gospel, teach the Word of God, strengthen families, and help people grow in their walk with the Lord.
A Place to Grow, Serve and Belong
Church is more than attending a weekly service. It is learning God’s Word, caring for one another, reaching our community, and carrying the Gospel to people both near and far.
Van Ministry
Every Sunday, our vans travel into Lockport to bring children, teens, and families to church who otherwise may not be able to attend.
It is simple, practical outreach: meeting people where they are and helping them come under the sound of the Gospel.
Adult & Children’s Sunday School
Sunday School is at the center of our teaching ministry. We offer Bible classes for every age, from little ones in the nursery to adults who want to grow deeper in God’s Word.
Each class is clear, Bible-based, and practical. It is also a place to ask questions, build friendships, and receive encouragement in your walk with the Lord.
Children’s Ministries
We count it a privilege to care for children, teach them the Gospel, and help lay a strong biblical foundation that can remain with them throughout their lives.
Nursery
We believe the Nursery is an important part of ministry. Loving and caring ladies watch over the babies so parents can focus on the Bible message with fewer distractions.
Even our youngest children matter, and we desire to begin teaching them to know and love the Lord from the cradle.
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6, KJV
Children’s Church
Our children represent the future, and it is a privilege to teach them the Gospel and plant seeds of faith that can grow throughout their lives.
From the Van Ministry and Sunday School to Children’s Church, every part of this ministry has one purpose: to lead young hearts to Christ.
“Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” — Matthew 19:14, KJV
Annual Old Fashion Gospel Revival
Since 2002, Cornerstone has hosted an annual Gospel revival that the Lord has blessed year after year. For the first twelve years, the meetings were held under an old-fashioned Gospel tent.
Today, the revival is held at the Lions Club Five Senses Nature Park. The setting may have changed, but the heart has not: Bluegrass Gospel music, local church choirs, timeless preaching, Christian fellowship, and our well-loved Friday evening barbecue.
World Missions
In obedience to Christ’s command, Cornerstone supports more than thirty missionaries through faithful prayer, financial giving, and an active involvement in missions.
Each year, we hold an Annual Missions Conference, and each week our church highlights one missionary family so the congregation can remain informed about their ministry, needs, and prayer requests.
